What if you “divorced” to stay together? Meaning, what if you moved out, got your own place, got the space you (both, probably) need and then tried to make it work from that place?

There’s no one size fits all when it comes to relationships and thinking outside the box might be helpful. Worse case scenario, you try and it doesn’t work—you’re already out on your own… Meaning you’ve already taken the biggest steps.

Also, as a child of divorce between two people who didn’t love each other, it made the house miserable. I always knew my parents weren’t in love and even as a child it grossed me out when they tried to pretend. Kids are smart—you’re not doing them favors by staying together if you’re miserable.

Regardless, my heart goes out to you. These are never easy decisions and there’s always pain involved. Sending you comfort and support—it will all work out eventually 🫶🏽🙏🏽
