Wait — what’s left? Haha. But seriously, fully agree. However, I don’t think someone has to be on the road to marriage to utilize and appreciate these types of lists. I say, the earlier, the better.

My Venus is in Capricorn, which is probably jibberish to most, but basically means that dating for fun hasn’t ever really been my thing. I don’t play games and I have zero interest in men who don’t know what they want. I’d rather spend my time doing other things.

So whenever I’d meet someone worth getting to know, I’d dive right into some of these subjects and continue as the relationship unfolded. It makes for interesting conversation! The more you know upfront, the less time you’ll waste and less heartbreaks you’ll nurture. It’s best for both parties involved.

Because I never found it tough to meet great guys, but I always found it tough to meet guys who wanted the same things. Few who agreed with how I wanted to build my future, the way I want to live life, and so much more. And no guy is worth settling for less.

Plus, these kinds of lists aren’t just helpful for getting to know our partner, they can better help us understand ourselves thereby aiding us to find a great partner.

My partner and I have been together for nearly five years and still aren’t married, but we’ve talked about these topics in-depth and then some. And I feel confident that if we do decide to get married, they’re taken care of.
